Avion has extensive Item Unique Identification (IUID) Marking, Engineering, and Registering capabilities. As a result of these capabilities, Avion was able to streamline the IUID process beginning with the engineering qualification of aircraft parts, transitioning into mobile marking teams for legacy parts, and finally developing an automated website for mobile marking teams to remote mark and register items, thus preparing the customer with real time progress reporting and approval visibility.
Avion actively participates in the IUID workgroup, collaborating with DOD to help calibrate an acceptable or unacceptable MIL STD 130 mark. Additionally, Avion is capable of producing varied quantities of IUID marks before verifying them and either registering them for a customer or providing mobile marking teams to travel to remote sites for installation and registration.
Avion’s software suite incorporates IUID capabilities in software such as Tool Room Management System, Aviation Life Support System, and Arms Room Management System along with ISO compliant marks and the software can distinguish between the two using embedded IUID software capabilities. Some of Avion’s IUID customers are: 160th SOAR-A (2011 IUID Team Excellence Award), Integrated Materiel Management Center (IMMC), Army Materiel Command (AMC), PM Apache, PM Armed Scout Helicopter and Software Engineering Directorate, HQDA G-4.
